The Senior Search Strategist serves as the daily point of client contact responsible for project-related communication and execution related to paid search. Reporting directly to the Account Director, the Senior Search Strategist has a pivotal role to play in coordinating within the paid search team to ensure client deliverables are deployed on time, on budget, and on scope. The Senior Search Strategist also plays a significant role in developing, planning, and presenting paid search plans and reports in alignment with our clients’ business objectives.
- Strategize and manage paid search projects for a portfolio of clients, mentoring the Performance Media Analysts in execution, in alignment with client business goals.
- Communicate elements of briefs to internal teams, and ensure comprehension of the objectives and underlying strategy
- Develop a paid search project plan to react rapidly to new demands and adjust as required
- With direction from the Account Director, provide tactical and strategic recommendations to enhance paid search performance
- Provide administrative support to the Account Director (billing, profitability reports, forecasts, performance reports, setup tasks, manage MPAs, inputting buys, discrepancy clearing, etc.)
- Be a trusted advisor to our clients, partners, and vendors, developing positive relationships that reflect true partnership in achieving the objectives of the client’s business
- Balance the dual expectations of both the client and agency to ensure seamless project delivery and quality
- Use your passion and creativity to help develop intelligent, innovative, and effective paid search ideas and process improvements for your clients
- Contribute your own ideas and opinions on your client’s business, how we work, and our industry; establish a presence in the agency; have a voice in meetings
- Supervise the development of paid search tactics to support the defined strategy and achieve clients’ goals
- Lead by example and work with an attitude of “it’s up to me to make it happen”
- At least 5 years of experience in paid search
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic account management
- Possess superior presentation skills – both in-person and over the phone
- Strong organizational skills across multiple projects and priorities
- Strong ability in project or account management
- Strong analytical skills with expert knowledge of Google Ads and Google Analytics
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven communication skills, including writing
