WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY
A Senior Scrum Master/ Project Manager enables a RBC team to run a medium-to-complex development process that seamlessly aligns with business and technical needs. The position is to play a key role within a delivery team as it removes any impediments that obstruct a team’s pursuit of its sprint goals and ultimately deliver a product that generates business benefits for one or several RBC lines of business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Facilitate a complex delivery initiative from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC development practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprints, release and deployment planning.
Consultation & Process Improvement on leveraging Agile techniques on a large Retail Credit Program
Accountable alongside the development and Prod support team for the achievement of release objectives and key results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations and manage risks to delivery
Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
Create and maintain the open communication within the delivery team (e.g. KPI/SLA tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment. Kanban board knowledge is good to have.
Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues
Facilitate and engage in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes
Provide proactive coaching to the team and recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity, driving change and influence
Lead the team in the implementation of SRE and DevOps tools, improvements and optimization to improve time-to-market and quality
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have
Minimum of 8+ Years’ Experience around Agile and iterative waterfall development methodologies
Must have understanding of environment deployment, SRE, and/or resiliency
Able to lead a team to steer the team to solve for address technical gaps/issues in the integration platforms
Must have experience in Planning, Tracking, Resource Planning, Risk assessment, Project Health Check and Release Management
Nice-to-have
Experience with project management of Banking domain applications development and implementations for multinational Banks
Competence in IT with a technical background
Knowledge about DevOps and QA testing automation tools
Certified Scrum Master and/ or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience in managing budget and forecasting accuracies.
Must possess excellent collaboration skills across multiple teams
Must be able to manage Multiple Projects, handle Onsite & offshore team queries, in quick turnaround time
