Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Within Corporate Systems, HR Technology, the SAP QA / QE resource will be responsible for leading, planning, test case creation and test execution of highly RBC customized SAP system activities i.e. new development, SAP service packs, benefits & compensation changes, payroll and tax changes, upgrades (DB2) and SAP test automation.

What will you do?

  • Leading E2E and integration testing, and provide stakeholder communication and reporting.

  • Leading the QE culture within the team by establishing best in class Quality practices.

  • Leading the execution of Test packs, processes and tools, and utilization of organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff in the assigned unit.

  • Automating test cases using RBC recommended automation framework, as per acceptance criteria, executing test cases manually and/or running the automated test scripts

  • Lead SAP testing in areas of implementation, upgrades, roll-outs and Application support areas.

  • Analyze business requirements, convert into testing requirements, create test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test summary reports.

  • Providing recommendations and contributing to test strategy & technical solutions in area of expertise, including leading QE work streams.

  • Participating in and providing input during Agile ceremonies like Sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-up meetings, demo sessions, and retrospective meetings

  • Providing application subject matter expertise and leadership on test case design and test architecture, including integration & end-to-end testing.

  • Assisting with or designing test cases for given requirements/user stories either manually; Preparing test plan/strategy documents as per SDLC including estimation

What do you need to succeed? 

Must Have

  • Knowledge of ABAP and experience in working with SAP development teams.

  • Extensive SAP QE with certifications in SAP and ISTQB.

  • Experience in testing Data migration activities.

  • Good working experience with qTest and Jira

  • SAP (SAP ERP6.0 EHP4-SD)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills along with a can-do attitude

  • Excellent understanding of Interfaces processing (EDI interfaces)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP testing tools such as; Worksoft, RightData, Testimony, Qualibrate, Micro Focus (QTP) UFT, eCATT, SAP TAO, Tricentis Tosca, Selenium or Micro Focus Silk Test

  • Undergraduate degree (preferred)

  • Technology & Operations or RBC SDLC software development lifecycle experience

  • Iterative waterfall or agile methodology and mindset

  • Working knowledge of incident management, Change management processes
