Hybrid job: This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. Do you have knowledge and experience working with Yardi’s property management application suite, strong project management skills, and a customer service mindset with a sharp focus on building business relationships and improving processes. If so, we are seeking a Senior Yardi Product Manager to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team at Toronto Community Housing!
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Solutions and Data, you will focus on leading Yardi projects and initiatives, implementing new modules or enhancements, coordinating system upgrades, reviewing business requirements, and identifying areas of optimization. Provide technical support along with partnering with TCH internal technology teams.
You will have the opportunity to positively impact the overall delivery of our Yardi solutions and support TCH’s goal of better serving our tenants.
What you’ll do
- Leverage your Yardi expertise to develop an understanding of our user's needs and business objectives and identify areas to align people and processes to system capabilities.
- Manage new module and functionality implementations through the entire software development lifecycle, including documentation, testing, training, and support.
- Facilitate, Execute, and document test cases/test scripts to validate system changes and provide a framework to support end-user acceptance testing.
- Lead and assist with creating business cases, ROIs, and other project-related documentation, as required, with input from key business stakeholders.
- Be part of a team and work internally with analysts, designers, developers, operations, finance, and marketing teams to meet and exceed client expectations and maintain optimum levels of customer service support.
- Advise and institute best practices relevant to business and the application of Yardi products.
- Collaborate with management and peers to address business requests and resolve issues.
- Focus on best practices and provide recommendations to the business regarding Yardi products and services that align with our company and operational needs.
- Assist and support project teams and business representatives throughout the project life cycle.
- Facilitate and assist with the system selection process and support subsequent related activities, including implementation and sustainment.
- Experience managing projects on accounting, business process, property management, or real estate software.
What you’ll need
- Post-secondary degree/diploma or combination of training and experience in information technology, Business Management or Financial Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience using Yardi products, including but not limited to Voyager, RentCafe, Elevate, Concierge, CRM, Maintenance IQ, Vendor Café, and Advance Budget/Forecasting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse users, senior managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of interpreting business needs and translating them into operational requirements.
- Solid strategic thinker who will actively participate in developing and managing TCH initiatives.
- Experience with accounting systems and understanding general accounting principles related to Yardi.
- Knowledge of community housing, real estate, or the REIT industry is desirable but not essential.
