What is the opportunity?
As a Lead Digital Product Owner, within Corporate Systems, Digital Workplace team, you will play a key role in leading, managing and working on Innovative initiatives such as SaaS, Smart Technology and Mobile products in support of our Corporate Real Estate partners’ transformational roadmap. You will be a leader of strategic transformation and plan, coordinate and execute activities of assigned projects, to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within the approved time frame leveraging Iterative Waterfall or Agile Delivery methodologies.
What will you do?
- Oversees Corporate Real Estate programs in the Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS) portfolio. Ensures strategic goals and objectives are successfully implemented and activities on planning, delivery, and implementation are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget.
- Accountable for expanding upon the vision and strategic direction of RBC Occupancy Technology, including lead the development of proofs of concepts / demos necessary to evaluate and support tool selection.
- Manages the activities enabling the teams to meet quality objectives, implement changes to processes, tools, and methods that result in increased agility and effective cost management
- Oversees the application development and production support of a highly visible Occupancy Portfolio of 10+ enterprise-wide applications .
- Owns the responsibility for building the right tools and applications and is regularly in conversation with RBC business and functions leaders and end users, developing and implementing plans which will enhance product(s) and ensure that the capabilities are fit for purpose for the business, regulators and customers, and aligned with the overall business direction.
- Liaises with RBC business and service partners, and is the primary contact for Digital Workplace Solutions with third-party vendors
Must have:
- 3+ years successfully delivering and simultaneously managing a minimum of 3 Projects (medium-to-large scale initiatives) using influence to facilitate to outcomes
- Advanced knowledge of Agile principles, mindset and frameworks, particularly within the RBC context
- 3+ years of hands-on Agile delivery or transformation experience
- Certification in at least one Agile designation (CSM, CSPO, SAFe Agilist)
- Strategic thinker who is able to connect the dots and see things from a big picture perspective
- Ability to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment with excellent organizational skills
- Experience working with executives in a diverse and demanding environment
- Strong ability to impact and influence without formal authority; confident and approachable and able to deliver results by building strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and networking skills, and comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organization effortlessly
- A can-do attitude with sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a flexible environment
- Outstanding presentation and written communication skills
Nice-to-have:
- RBC Agile Management Framework and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
- Experience with SaaS applications, delivery & lifecycle Management
- Experience in Financial Services Business or Technology
- Experience with Mobile initiatives and understanding of Corporate Real Estate
