WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As Senior Network Security Analyst, Cyber Technology Operations, you will be providing active support to deliver consistent levels of organizational and technical expertise necessary for the successful implementation, maintenance and support of RBC’s critical global security infrastructure platforms and services. The primary responsibilities of this role is to provide second level technical support for troubleshooting, implementation, and configuration changes across a variety of Network Security technologies. You will be regularly working with technical and business partners and vendors to resolve incidents/problems, perform root cause analysis, fulfill business service requests and deliver on End to End Business to Business VPN connectivity solutions to Third Party Clients and provide stability across the global RBC enterprise.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Responsible for the day to day global fulfillment of firewall Rule request
Responsible for deployment and life cycle maintenance of site-to-site VPN/Firewall network platform.
Responding to network security event and incident escalations from the first-level support Service Desk, internal/external clients and business partners
Work closely with DevOps/Automation teams to identify opportunities for automation, provide technical requirements and validate functionality before production
Performing root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for major incidents and recurring problems, and implementing permanent solutions
Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deployments
Provides on-call L2 support for the cyber and network security infrastructure (i.e. firewalls, intrusion/malware prevention, web application firewalls, cloud security, etc.)
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Thorough understanding of network flows, protocols, and application related security controls. Strong experience working with a majority of the following technologies (Checkpioint/PaloAlto and FortiGate)
Ability to thrive in an environment with new and evolving technology.
Ability to interface with a client project team and deliver a calm approach to resolving issues.
Strong communication skills, the ability to understand how a message should be delivered, to who and when
Nice-to-have:
College diploma or University degree related to Information Technology, with a focus on Cyber Security or Telecommunications
Certifications in information security (eg. CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL)
