Purpose
As the Senior Manager, reporting to the Director of Country Relationships & Business Excellence, your primary role is to oversee the day-to-day governance of International Wealth Management (IWM) and IWM Communications, as well as champion the execution of the Client Experience Program. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining strong working relationships with IWM teams in various countries to ensure coordination, communication, following the governance structure, and providing budget management support for IWM Head Office.
Additionally, you will support team-based initiatives as required.
IWM Communications
• Developing and maintaining communication with countries and Head Office
• Channeling day-to-day country information requests to ensure alignment among Wealth businesses and spotting and developing communications opportunities in the day-today
business
• Coordinating the quarterly Town Halls, annual international Summit, leadership offsites, as well as other events for International Wealth Management
• Crafting executive communications in English and Spanish for countries
• Keeping the IWM Scotia live up to date and refreshed with new content
• Supporting the crafting of communications for the IWM Head Office team and the Senior Vice President, IWM; including announcements, news posts, newsletters, Town Hall
presentations, etc.
• Maintaining a current list of contacts and developing new in-country contacts to ensure lists stay up to date
• Building awareness and providing support on initiatives across markets
IWM Governance Structure
• Maintaining the IWM governance calendar of key initiatives including standing meetings
• Planning and coordinating standing governance meetings and ensuring agendas and presentations for meetings are distributed in a timely manner
• Supporting the coordination, agenda, reporting, dashboards, and material preparation for the International Wealth Management Client Council Committees and in-country
reviews
• Representing the Director, Country Relationships & Business Excellence in meetings and liaising with stakeholders in Global Wealth Management, IWM, and International Banking
as required
• Contributing to the efficient and effective management of the IWM governance structure
IWM Customer Experience (CX)
• Working with other members of IWM, Global Customer Experience, and business teams in head office and the country to support the roll-out of the Customer Experience system, powered by Net Promoter System (NPS)
• Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships in Wealth Management and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
• Providing actionable insights and deep-dive analysis to assist with existing and/or upcoming initiatives
• Collaborating with business partners and other stakeholders on best practices and supporting ongoing tracking and CX monitoring of performance
Support to IWM initiatives by:
• Collaborating with the management team to develop and manage the IWM annual budget and ensure progress is tracked against the plan
• Providing ad-hoc support for various IWM initiatives as needed, working with different teams to ensure successful implementation
• Championing a high-performance environment by setting goals, measuring performance, and providing feedback to individuals and teams, while also fostering an inclusive work environment where diverse perspectives are valued and respected
Dimensions
• Supports IWM Head Office in Canada as well as the following regions: English Caribbean, Spanish Caribbean, and Central & South America.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
Education and Experience
• A completed undergraduate degree in business is strongly preferred. Postgraduate studies in Business, Marketing, Communication, or Economics are an asset.
• A willingness to learn and understand cross-border markets and industry dynamics. The Senior Manager must possess superior team-working abilities, as the role is highly collaborative.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to prepare project plans, documentation, and presentations.
• Experience in wealth management and financial services is preferred.
• Analytical skills are necessary to analyze a broad range of reports, and information. The Senior Manager should be able to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on the information.
• A passion for customer advocacy and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment, with multiple deliverables at the same time.
• Flexibility in everyday tasks while maintaining effective communication is essential to promote and foster a productive working environment.
• Superior relationship building abilities in multi-cultural, bilingual environments are necessary due to the international nature of some activities.
• Data management skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are paramount to the role.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Working Conditions
• This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.
• The incumbent must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending three days in the office and two days remote per week, but may need to be flexible depending on business needs.
• Non-standard working hours are a regular occurrence.
• The role requires an individual with a high level of flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
