Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As Senior Manager, Digital Channel Strategy and Management you will be responsible for developing, deploying and innovating our channel strategies and client engagement on RBC’s Business Banking platform, products and services.  You will play an integral part in our Winning for Today product teams and Transforming for Tomorrow squads to shape the next evolution of Business Financial Services (BFS) to become a Digital First Bank while embedding our suite of solutions at the Centre of Commerce.


You will work closely with Products, Sales, IT, Marketing, Analytics, Fraud, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to manage the end-to-end and front-to-back client experience with an integrated roadmap while driving shared OKRs to Win for Today and Transform for Tomorrow.

Key will be to successfully navigate complexity with a strategic mindset while making informed business decisions that delight our clients and drive our leadership in the market.  You will approach opportunities with a learning mindset and have the courage to make sound decisions despite ambiguity.  You thrive in a fast-pace, team-first environment.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for developing and driving digital channel strategy, adoption and engagement across multiple business client segments and industry verticals

  • Lead and work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams and squads to innovate, scale, optimize existing and emerging products and services on the platform

  • Articulate client value and drive client engagement with data-driven facts and insights

  • Ideate, scope and manage roadmap to advance channel capabilities, resiliency and experience while managing the full product lifecycle and decommission products and services from the shelf

  • Thought leadership and accountability for shared OKRs and engage senior leaders in regular metrics monitoring, reporting and dialogue

  • Oversight of channel risk and controls; managing regulatory and policy changes to safeguard our client’s business and RBC’s trusted brand

  • Deep understanding of client needs, pain points and changing behaviours by leveraging qualitative and quantitative research to inform business and technology decisions

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience building, managing and working across product, channel, digital, technology and/or B2B client-facing roles, preferably within the financial services industry

  • Ability to translate strategy, market research, and customer needs into a compelling product vision with robust requirements and clear ROI

  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, vendors and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver on shared outcomes

  • Undergraduate/Post Graduate Degree or equivalent experience in a related area (e.g. computer science, technology, engineering, digital, business, consulting, change management or analytics)

  • Experience working in and with Agile teams and tools in a hybrid work environment

Nice to have

  • Business, Commercial Banking or Capital Markets experience
