Senior Manager, Data Domain Advisory & Execution

Job Description

  • Advisory the data domain model delivery and implementation throughout RBC by collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Implement and oversee the operational process of rolling out a domain.

  • Drive consistency and best practices sharing across data domains.

  • Articulate Enterprise Data Domain execution roadmap Act as a subject matter expert, provide advisory services to stakeholders on the implementation of the CDO data frameworks.

  • Act as a subject matter expert, provide advisory services to stakeholders on the implementation of the CDO data frameworks.

  • Ensure comprehensive stakeholder engagement and support the enterprise data domain level committee.

  • Work with key stakeholders to drive Collibra adoption.

  • Coordinate and contribute to regulatory and remediation effort where required.

  • Monitor the data domain execution progress.

  • Support the data domain team to resolve issues/risks while implementing the standards of care.

Must-Have

  • Strong cross functional team collaboration skills to deliver data domain advisory services.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different stakeholder needs.

  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in data management and data governance.

  • Ability to understand and navigate through complex environment and deliver quality services in data management capability areas.

  • Proven ability to deliver in a complex and challenging business environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Be highly motivated, energetic with a proactive attitude.

  • Program/Project management skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in client facing, professional services and advisory roles.

  • Experience managing and delivering large Enterprise scale projects and programs.

  • Experience communicating with senior and executive leadership.

  • Knowledge of the data management tools, including IBM Information Analyzer and Collibra.

  • Project Management credentials/certifications.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Data Domain Advisory & Execution will be an integral part within the Chief Data Office Data Advisory Services. The Senior Manager will play an active role in engaging data domains and data management offices to help drive data domain compliance with the Enterprise Data Policy and Enterprise Data Standard through the execution of the CDO Data Domain Roadmap. The role will work closely with the CDO management team and DMOs to assign data domain management roles and provide advisory services to support the data domain teams in solving their data problems. The role will be responsible for the execution of the roadmap, working with teams to establish the data accountability model, providing advice on implementing the standards of care, monitoring the data domain scorecard and driving the Collibra adoption. The role will also require a general understanding of the overall data management capabilities, metadata management tools and strong working knowledge of the program management lifecycle. This role will be a subject matter expert responsible for providing value added, strategic support, advice, and counsel to major programs across the Enterprise lines of business and functional areas.
