What You Will Do
You will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in support of track projects, condition surveys, defect assessments, as well as corrective and preventative maintenance. This will include: managing the development and review of new/existing track component designs; developing comprehensive testing programs; diagnosing complex engineering problems, and providing technical input for track related operating issues. This involves:
- Coordinating the design and development of new track components
- Reviewing the design and performance of existing track components
- Developing maintenance standards and procedures
- Providing technical input for track related operating issues

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- You are in good standing and registered as a professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario;
- Your educational background in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is integral and will contribute to the success in this role;
- Your application will demonstrate thorough knowledge engineering principles, methods and practices as they relate to the design of track, track related structures and associated right-of-way;
- Sound judgement, well developed analytical, problem solving, verbal communication and technical report writing skills;
- Your application will also demonstrate strong knowledge of project management concepts and practices and the ability to carry out and coordinate projects and studies;
- Registration with the Project Management Institute would be an asset;
- Proficiency in the use of a computer and associated Microsoft applications.
