Adecco is currently seeking an experienced individual for a full-time position as a Senior ECM Advisor (Enterprise category management). Join our prestigious client, a well-established oil and gas company, and make a significant impact with your expertise. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end Category Management process of assigned categories in support of Information Technology and the Corporate Project Management Office. This fast-paced and challenging position is ideal for a self-starter with strong Category Management knowledge and sourcing skills.
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shifts: Monday – Friday | 40 hours/week
  • Job type: Full-time | 1-Year Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess risk and support the development of enterprise category strategies in partnership with budget owners to achieve overall company objectives
  • Develop and maintain a network of stakeholders at the enterprise level
  • Support the annual & long-term strategic planning and budgeting of the Information Technology Projects and Managed Services portfolios to secure the supply of goods and services
  • Leverage spend data, business requirements, external market data, and other necessary information to develop category strategies and influence implementation
  • Lead and manage all aspects of complex sourcing initiatives including RFx activities, development of negotiation strategies and recommendations to award
  • Develop negotiation plans and lead stakeholders through the negotiation process
  • Review, interpret, analyze, draft and negotiate complex Information Technology contracts
  • Drive post-award value through effective contract & supplier performance management
  • Ensure data collected and information created is accurate and accessible
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate policies, including the Supply Chain Management policy, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
  • Provide mentorship to team members
  • Act as delegate to Senior Manager
Requirements and Qualifications: 
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent is required
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible and related experience is a must
  • SCMP designation is required
  • Working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas industry
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through Category Management processes
  • Experience negotiating large, complex commercial agreements
  • Proven experience leading and managing all aspects of complex sourcing initiatives including RFx activities, development of negotiation strategies and recommendations to award
  • SAP experience is required
  • Strong financial acumen to assess, verify and interpret deal economics and commitments
  • End-to-end Supply Chain experience including processes, tools and the interdependencies between category management, purchasing, materials management & logistics, supplier performance & relationship management
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging to varying levels of stakeholders
  • Values and fosters inclusion & diversity to create new and improved solutions and ideas
  • Track record as an effective change agent with a focus on unlocking barriers to value
  • Able to take complex situations and leverage problem-solving, communication, and project management skills to present sound recommendations
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
