The Senior Director of Product Line Management Business Operations has the following key responsibilities:

• Leading a team of 5 direct reports including manager and senior managers
• Drive the pricing strategy for the GP&S organization including the next generation coherent modems (example: WL6i) and the transition to software defined pricing with Flexera integration
• Managing the end to end portfolio lifecycle of the GP&S products including issuing PCNs such as MD/EOL notices
• Managing Ciena’s inventory position together with the supply chain team.  Includes helping put together marketing/sales programs on excess inventory items
• Managing the GP&S PLM input into the strategic planning process
• Managing the GP&S PLM input into the N+1 operating plan including helping pull together financial trends by customer, by product, by region, etc
• Monitoring key pricing and cost trends and distributing reports to the executive team including in Power BI
• Helping manage key / challenged accounts together with the sales team.
• Supporting PLM leadership team on key strategic initiatives and presentations
• Run the centralized lab team including the battlefront and Encqor labs.

• Gérer la position d'inventaire de Ciena avec l'équipe de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Comprend l'aide à la mise en place de programmes de marketing / vente sur les articles en surplus
• Gestion de la contribution du PLM NPD dans le processus de planification stratégique, y compris la nouvelle initiative QSR
• Gestion de l'entrée NPD PLM dans le plan d'exploitation N + 1, y compris en aidant à rassembler les tendances financières par client, par produit, par région, etc. Surveiller les principales tendances en matière de prix et de coûts et distribuer des rapports à l'équipe de direction
• Aider à gérer les comptes clés / contestées avec l'équipe de vente.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE               

• Minimum BS in engineering (with telecommunications, networking or communications systems concentration) – or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience with successful and progressive track record of accomplishment, leadership and increasing responsibility.
• Product background in L0/L1/L2/L3 technology, management and API technologies is preferred
• Keen business sense and general management experience to drive lifecycle management of complex products and solutions
• Strong program and project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail in orchestrating efforts across multiple functional disciplines
• Seasoned interpersonal skills with a proven ability to achieve results through alignment of cross-functional and multi-divisional activities in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment
• Extraordinary communications and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers and other functional organizations
• Telecom pricing experience
• Ability to work with Ciena’s supply chain / finance organization and systems

ÉDUCATION ET EXPÉRIENCE
 

• BS en génie (avec concentration en télécommunications, en réseau ou en systèmes de communications) - ou expérience équivalente
• MBA souhaité plus de 10 années d'expérience pertinente dans l'industrie avec des antécédents de réussite, de leadership et de responsabilité croissante.
• Contexte du produit dans les technologies L0 / L1 / L2, de gestion et d'API est préféré
• Sens aigu des affaires et expérience générale en gestion pour piloter la gestion du cycle de vie de produits et de solutions complexes
• Solides compétences en gestion de programme et de projet avec une attention méticuleuse aux détails dans l'orchestration des efforts dans plusieurs disciplines fonctionnelles
• Compétences interpersonnelles éprouvées avec une capacité éprouvée à atteindre des résultats grâce à l'alignement des activités inter-fonctionnelles et multi-divisions dans un environnement hautement collaboratif, axé sur l'équipe et au rythme rapide
• Communications extraordinaires et compétences de presentation
• Aptitude avérée à établir des relations de confiance avec les clients, les fournisseurs et d'autres organisations fonctionnelles
• Expérience en tarification telecom
• Aptitude à travailler avec l'organisation et les systèmes de gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement / financière de Ciena
