Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Compensation, the Sr. Compensation Specialist will assist in the planning, implementation, and administration of HOOPP’s compensation programs. This role will manage annual compensation survey submissions and the review and analysis of survey results. The Sr. Compensation Specialist will compile and analyze data for various ad hoc and regular reports, assist in the forecasting and budgeting process, and assist with year-end compensation activities. The Sr. Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining compensation-related information in Workday.
What you will do:
Support the department with day-to-day activities, such as job evaluations, compensation reviews, collection of data, analysis of information and creation of reports
Participate in the collection and management of annual compensation survey data, used to support pay recommendations requested by HR colleagues as well as structural reviews
Assist in the administration and communication of the annual incentive and salary review process
Analyze and advise on the impact of changes to compensation policies and guidelines on staff to ensure consistency throughout the organization
Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data and metrics; prepare ad-hoc reports, dashboards and presentations as required
Assist with quarterly forecasting activities and the annual budget, as they relate to compensation
Monitor special compensation arrangements for budgeting, administration, and reporting purposes
Assist with HRIS testing and maintenance to support compensation activities
What you will bring:
Relevant undergraduate degree
CCP or CHRM designation completed or in progress
3 years relevant experience in compensation
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing compensation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent technical skills in Excel, advanced Word and Powerpoint user
Collaborative and client-focused mentality to develop and strengthen business relationships
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Significant judgement and maturity in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
Superior project management skills including the ability to manage complex processes that cross business lines in a diplomatic and professional manner
