Our Investment Technology team is currently seeking a Business Analyst who has solid analytical skills, enjoys learning and is able to adapt to change.
You’ll be part of a team whose mission is to help the various investment departments achieve their goals by providing high-quality technology tools and solutions. The Intact Investment Management teams will guide you as you learn about this fascinating field. Everyone’s ideas count—come and share yours with us!
You’ll make the most of your analytical approach and autonomy across ever-changing responsibilities. More specifically, you will:
Prepare and participate in workshops to analyze users’ needs and implement IT solutions.
Develop solutions based on the needs identified during the analysis, in collaboration with the Technology team.
Carry out impact analyses and estimations of effort in order to recommend, get approval for and document IT solutions using effective methods and interacting with business users and the IT project team.
Document and perform the necessary tests to ensure the quality of the solution.
Support the various applications and processes developed by the Investment Technology team.
Propose and implement new work methods.
Build and maintain functional, robust and accurate documentation that is available to all of our system and process stakeholders.
Resolve problems encountered by users of the various applications and processes developed by the Investment Technology team.
Act as a subject matter expert on our core applications (Eagle, CRIMS) to support the various Investment Department teams.
Work closely with all the department’s teams to support them in their daily work.
Qualifications:
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Management / Finance or a related field.
You have at least five to seven years of relevant experience.
You have relevant investment experience (a definite asset).
You are familiar with SQL (an asset).
You are proficient with JIRA and Confluence.
You show initiative and integrity.
You are a team player with good judgment and critical thinking skills.
You have good problem-solving and analytical skills.
You have solid communication skills.
Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
