Job Description

What is the opportunity?
RBC’s Digital Group is seeking a highly motivated and talented senior business analyst for a one year contract term. This role will allow you to perform all aspects of requirements delivery - planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support on cutting edge Digital projects delivered using Agile methodology.

What will you do?

  • Manage various Agile ceremonies, alongside the Product Owner

  • Assist the Product Owner in decomposing epics into user stories

  • Identify, document and refine user stories to increase the degree of detail relating to acceptance criteria, assumptions,

    constraints and dependencies. Identify business rules and data elements associated with the user stories

  • Assist the Product Owner in managing risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements and communicate to appropriate

    parties

  • Lead and facilitate collaborative refinement sessions and walkthroughs with your squad (Tech, Product and Design teams) to

    gather feedback and ensure common understanding of requirements

  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise

    standards in Confluence

  • Work collaboratively with Product, Development, SMEs and the UI/UX Design team, to design and build application UI pages

  • Document test scenarios for user stories when necessary

  • Provide ongoing requirements/build/testing support to the developers

  • Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure relationship between the vision, epics/user stories, and testing

    through to implementation

  • Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business, and information technology

What you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a BA/BSA

  • 2 years + experience on an Agile project

  • Proven ability to gather Business requirements and Systems requirements independently

  • Strong knowledge of Requirements methodology (planning, elicitation, documentation) - both within Agile and Waterfall project

    frameworks

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and gap analysis

  • Demonstrated experience with user stories, business and system specifications, business context diagrams and business

    process maps

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
