The Senior Brand Manager (SBM) will be responsible for driving growth against one of our Danone brands. This individual will be a key contributor to the brand’s strategic business planning based on a deep understanding of the consumer, customers and market. The Senior Brand Manager will develop marketing plans, lead brand strategy, produce locally relevant communication assets and new product development for the brand partnering with internal and external partners to ensure its success. In collaboration with the Marketing Senior Director, the SBM will build brand value, find innovative ways to create demand, and develop breakthrough activations and innovations

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and leverage consumer insights to drive brand strategy, equity platform, communication architecture and innovation roadmap.
  • Step up the Brand strategy by fine-tuning Brand positioning, develop Sustainability agenda of the brand
  • Create local and cultural relevant communications, engaging activations that will build brand equity and drive long-term growth for the business
  • Drive innovation and new product development process including developing a 3 years pipeline of next-generation products that will generate growth
  • Collaborate with R&D, Consumer Insights, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Finance to take innovation ideas from concepts to reality
  • Lead agency relationships for communication, package design and activation
  • Utilize business analytics (share, volume and revenue drivers, competition) to monitor performance of the brand to develop forecasts, propose recommendations and drive business objectives
  • Ensure development and coaching of one experienced Assistant Brand Manager.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

 

  • 8-12 years’ experience in brand management for an established CPG company
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A self-starter who is thoughtful, analytical and a strategic thinker
  • Robust experience as Senior Brand Manager in Canada.
  • Experience on a leading brand in the category is an asset
  • Great Business sensitivity with positive achievements on leading brands
  • Strong experience in marketing plan development; situation assessment, strategy and tactical plan development, successful communication platform (especially local)
  • Experience in cross-functional team management and the ability to navigate uncertainty and complexity
  • Strong piloting of financial P&L
