Join a team of passionate people:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Treasury Reporting, you will be responsible for monitoring and processing accounting transactions related to the Company’s financial instruments, updating real estate portfolio transaction projections, identifying financial needs and tracking the corresponding KPIs. You will also help prepare and analyze financial information to meet various reporting cycle requirements.
Financial instruments
Understand and identify key terms, conditions and financial restrictions in financing documents;
Input all the necessary information regarding financial instruments into the treasury system to ensure proper and accurate tracking;
Prepare and regularly update executive summaries for each financial instrument to document the necessary information for modelling purposes in the treasury system; identify key provisions and restrictions to be adhered to;
Calculate third-party financing receivables, prepare statements and follow up to make sure payments are received on time;
Enter acquisition and disposition transactions into the system;
Process and record financial instrument transactions in the general ledger, including accruals and market values;
Reconcile information in the treasury system with the general ledger and financial statements received from partners;
Follow up with partners as required;
Prepare reports to populate dashboards for presentations to various committees;
Ensure needs of the main shareholder and regional hubs are met and respond to requests from external auditors during the year-end process;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the treasury management system;
Contribute to upgrading accounting processes in the automated corporate accounting system for financial instruments managed by Treasury (real estate and interco debts, financing, derivatives);
Assist the Advisor with tracking and accounting transactions;
Analytics and modelling
Ensure compliance of financial restrictions related to real estate debts;
Develop and produce various financial analyses to determine the impact of debt servicing and financing on the Company’s balance sheet and overall financial results;
Assist the Advisor in tracking and recording interco transactions;
Respond to requests made by banking institutions with regard to corporate facilities:
Obtain the required documents;
Calculate the corresponding ratios;
Send documentation to external financial institutions by the stipulated deadlines;
Ensure that banking institutions make the changes to the terms and conditions related to ESG agreements (e.g., by reducing rates);
Actively contribute to cash planning:
Gather and compile acquisition, disposition, development and fund information from the various hubs;
Contact business units (Portfolio Construction, hubs) for additional information as required;
Analyze and summarize information about liquidity resources and needs;
Calculate the impact on the Company’s leverage.
The toolbox we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
CPA designation, an asset;
Four years of position-related or financial analysis experience within a large organization;
Experience in a multi-currency environment with complex legal structures, an asset;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including new applications (Power BI, Power Automate); familiarity with JD Edwards, an asset;
Fluency in written and spoken French and English;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to adapt to change and embrace a positive attitude toward learning;
Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated;
Ability to work well within a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
