Reporting to the Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting, the Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting and Reporting is responsible for foundational tasks that support both the company in financial reporting and their career growth into a well-rounded finance professional. Working closely with Managers within the technical accounting team, the successful candidate will make key contributions to consolidated financial reporting, analyze complex accounting issues, prepare impairment valuation and facilitate other projects related to financial reporting as they arise.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of success in technical analysis and financial reporting. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical skills and organizational capabilities will be key to success.

Responsibilities
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Lead all aspects of the preparation of various external financial documents and disclosures in accordance with IFRS
Collaborate and manage strategic projects and transactions through accurate accounting analysis
Resolve sophisticated accounting circumstances and prepare accounting position papers not limited to financial instruments, impairment, acquisitions, dispositions and contracts analysis
Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to optimally provide consultation and advice on accounting questions that arise
Work across departments to prepare timely discounted cash flow models for analysis of mine sites and valuation of financial instruments
Monitor, analyze and implement new and amended IFRS pronouncements
Develop key leadership capabilities by taking initiative, successfully completing tasks and by learning and adapting to change in a dynamic environment
Develop core proficiencies of analytical judgment, flexibility and emotional intelligence for an environment augmented by technological advancements
Qualifications
CPA designation with a minimum of 2 years of proven post-designation experience is required, preferably with experience in the mining industry. Big 4 Accounting Firm experience working with IFRS is required
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and internal controls is required
Experience with OneStream and Wdesk is an asset
Advanced skills in using MS Office, including Word, Excel
Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to influence individuals within the organization and effectively liaise with individuals across different functions
Outstanding organizational and planning skills, a strong attention to detail
The ability to produce results in a accelerated environment while possessing excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: $103,000 - $127,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
