As the Senior Analyst, Loyalty Strategy & Planning, you will leverage your strategic mindset and passion for customer centricity to evolve the PC Optimum loyalty program by evaluating new opportunities, advancing strategic projects and supporting the annual planning process.
Please note this position is based out of Loblaw's Downtown Toronto office (500 Lake Shore Blvd W). Some travel to Loblaw's Brampton HQ (1 President's Choice Circle) may be required. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week, and virtually for 2 days per week.
What you'll do
- Assist in the exploration and evaluation of new opportunities and innovation pursuits, including by conducting research, supporting development of business cases, building financial models, and preparing recommendations for varying audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership (VP+)
- Project-manage loyalty strategy projects from inception to implementation, including tracking progress against work plans, monitoring interdependencies and risks, communicating workstream agendas, minutes and next steps, and supporting evolution of workplans, required analysis, and recommendation builds.
- Support the annual strategic planning process by developing workshops, analyzing business priorities against objectives and key results (OKRs), aggregating plans from Divisional and functional loyalty teams, and preparing presentation decks
- Bring strategic foresight and thought leadership to the loyalty team by monitoring customer, market, and competitive insights and trends through ongoing and ad hoc analyses (e.g., competitive intelligence reporting, trend deep dive)
- Across all of the above responsibilities, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to Retail Divisions, Loyalty Portfolio Management, Vendor Loyalty, Loyalty Partnerships, Loyalty Technology, Business & Customer Insights, Loyalty Operations, Marketing and/or Loblaw Digital.
Does this sound like you?
- Hands-on experience. You have a bachelors education in a Business, Commerce, or an equivalent program. You have 2-3 years of experience in strategy, planning, consulting, analytics, project management or customer experience positions. Added bonus if you have experience in retail or loyalty.

- Loyalty curious. You have interest in learning about the loyalty industry, and are excited by the idea of driving business value through delighting customers
- Analytical mindset. Since Loyalty acts as a connector across the many functions in the Loblaw ecosystem, an ability to analyze and synthesize information across sources is essential to the development of loyalty solutions and strategies
- Proactive problem solver. As the team balances multiple projects you will have the opportunity to lead the development of key deliverables, proactively advancing the project and solutioning challenges.
- Confident communication skills. You enjoy storytelling and presenting to key stakeholders. You have a confidence in your ability to share findings and explain complex concepts to varying audiences.
