Job Description

The incumbent will support financial applications used for financial, regulatory and cash management processes. In addition to performing reporting activities, he/she will be asked to develop business needs in conjunction with internal partners, recommend appropriate solutions and participate in their development. The incumbent may also be required to contribute to the financial systems modernisation project during its implementation phase.

Responsibilities


º Analyse the impacts of projects and regulatory changes on the systems and processes that he/she supervises.
º Analyze complex problems, communicate with people involved and recommend appropriate solutions.
º Develop and maintain expertise in the tools, business processes, reports and data structure connected to the Finance group's information systems.
º Work closely with Corporate Treasury and Finance teams to develop business needs and communicate them to internal and external IT teams.
º Direct activities and applications related to the preparation of financial and regulatory information while ensuring data quality.
º Perform relevant tests and ensure the proper and innovative development of the applications that he/she is responsible for.
º Perform administration and maintenance tasks, as required, with the IT department or external suppliers.
º Perform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (administration, finance, accounting)
Master's degree or professional designation (CPA, FRM, CFA), an asset
Six years of relevant experience
Excellent financial understanding of bank products and activities
Knowledge of the regulatory standards for liquidity and capital management, a major asset
Clear fluency in Excel, use of advanced functions and basic VBA/macro
Ability to understand and consolidate large volumes of complex information quickly
Knowledge of relational and multidimensional databases
Ability to read and write simple to moderately complex SQL queries
Resourcefulness, curiosity, excellent analytical skills, initiative and autonomy
Bilingual* (English, French)
