The Senior Financial Analyst contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Business Investments team in Enterprise Portfolio Management & Strategy Execution, ensuring specific individual and departmental goals are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. 

 

Accountabilities

·        Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

·        Supports the delivery of the team’s financial and management reports to key stakeholders including month-end and quarter-end reporting packages including depreciation, amortization, CEF report, Statistics Canada, etc.

·        Responsible for reporting of project financials, including CFA Report, Project Overruns, Transit Report, etc.

·        Prepares and presents complex financial data and information in a meaningful, concise and user-friendly manner.

·        Contributes to the maintenance of strong financial governance through implementing best practices. Supports audit requests and the communication of financial policies, guidelines and Bank practices.

·        Assist the team with ancillary activities in Business Investment, including processing of Project Change Requests (PCR), project activations and closures, maintenance of Enterprise Business Case Tool, etc.

·        Work with cross functional teams to develop/design effective and efficient processes and workflows for project financial tracking and reporting; deliver timely and accurate reporting

 

Education, Skills and Experiences Required

·        Undergraduate degree in relevant field with progress towards a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degree (e.g. MBA) preferred

·        Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

·        Strong technical skills in MS Excel (MS Excel VBA would be an asset)

·        Must be able to manage and interpret large amounts of data, and use sound judgement in analysis, interpretation and presentation of findings. (Power BI or Tableau would be an asset)
