In this role, you will be responsible for managing cybersecurity events and incidents. You will prioritize and handle alerts from various surveillance systems and coordinate post-incident remediation efforts. You will also contribute to vulnerability management processes and security configuration management, and maintain a good relationship between the organization and the selected security providers.
Main responsibilities include the following:
Review, optimize and improve cybersecurity controls;
Monitor and prioritize security alerts;
Recommend improvements to be made to cases under surveillance;
Draft guidelines for responding to certain types of incidents and identify opportunities for automating select operations;
Contribute to cybersecurity incident response efforts;
Investigate cybersecurity incidents to determine the cause and extent;
Provide high-level analysis of malicious code;
Help produce post-incident reports and identify areas for improvement;
Establish and follow up on vulnerability remediation plans;
Regularly update processes and procedures to manage cybersecurity incidents, coordinate vulnerability management efforts and oversee security configurations;
Monitor cybersecurity threats and emerging trends;
Search for active threats in environments under Ivanhoé Cambridge’s control;
Test existing detection and protection mechanisms and recommend the necessary adjustments.
The toolbox we are looking for !
Bachelor’s degree in information technology specializing in cybersecurity, certificate in cybersecurity, or other relevant educational credentials;
Between 0 and 3 years of experience in cybersecurity;
Keen interest in the cybersecurity field;
Excellent analytical skills;
Theoretical and technical knowledge of networks, systems, databases, IaaS/PaaS platforms and security tools;
Ability to correlate unstructured data from various types of journals and event flows (firewalls, IPSs, EDRs, etc.);
Advanced ability to use script languages to automate various tasks;
Bilingualism (English and French) oral and written. Exchanges will take place on a regular basis with several English-speaking suppliers, based abroad.
Given the nature of the position, you may be required to be available on call after regular business hours and on weekends (on a rotating basis with other team members).
