The Senior Advisor Institutional Services will take charge of institutional clients while applying National Bank Trust’s best practices regarding the client experience. The successful candidate will stand out for their proactivity and demonstrate a high level of expertise in supporting clients with our investment fund services. They will also take charge of business development initiatives in their sector.
Your role:
- Serve mutual fund managers by providing a high level of expertise and specialized advice
- Analyze and respond to various requests related to securities, fund accounting and record-keeping
- Work with internal teams to ensure activities are properly executed
- Perform various daily tasks to ensure processes run smoothly
- Coordinate setup for new clients (parameterization of systems, billing, access to the portal, suppliers, legal documents, etc.)
- Identify and document risks and issues related to activities
- Support the Manager – Institutional Markets in identifying opportunities when analyzing client files and drafting proposals
- Produce various reports and dashboards and ensure data integrity
- Perform holistic impact analysis of client structure changes that require the resolution of taxation, compliance, accounting and operational issues (mergers, restocking, transfers, mutual fund trust launches, disposition of mutual funds, etc.) and implement solutions tailored to the situation
- Initiate, develop, enhance and document the implementation of new processes to ensure activities are efficient while reducing risks

Competencies required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience OR master's degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience
- Solid expertise in and knowledge of securities custody and fund administration
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Strong sense of priorities that maximize business value for clients and the organization
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently serve clients who speak a language other than French
