We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the SAP system landscape, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with other technical teams and end-users to provide high-quality support and ensure smooth operations of the SAP environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure SAP systems, including system sizing, database administration, and system security.
• Conduct system upgrades, migrations, and patch installations.
• Monitor system performance and provide performance tuning recommendations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with technical teams and end-users to provide support and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Manage system backups and recovery procedures.
• Maintain system security by implementing appropriate security measures.
• Participate in system audits and provide compliance reports
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.

Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP BASIS consultant.
• Strong knowledge of SAP architecture and components.
• Experience with SAP installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Knowledge of database administration, including backup and recovery procedures.
• Understanding of system performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• SAP certification is a plus.
