Responsibilities
The Sales Manager contributes to the success of the PepsiCo Beverages Canada by leading the sales and distribution strategy for a regional distribution center. This broad leadership role encompasses sales, customer service and marketing equipment and warehousing operations.
Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Maximize volume and revenue in a defined area in a direct store delivery go-to-market environment
Coach and lead a team of sales professionals and frontline employees on selling and display execution and merchandising standards
Develop strong talent pipeline with frontline Supervisors for export to larger roles within PepsiCo
Cultivate strong relationships with key customers in the region
Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
Effectively lead strong and positive labour relations with the Union
Effectively lead delivery and merchandising operations through consistent delivery and merchandising standards in a Geo-Box environment
Effectively lead the cross-dock and facility management operations
Develop, motivate and lead a team of employees
Ensure the team delivers volume and revenue results while managing costs
Qualifications
Qualifications / Requirements:
Post-Secondary Education, preferably in Business
Professional accomplishments that reflect self-motivation and initiative
Solid leadership and interpersonal skills required
Demonstrated analytical and math skills required to build key insights for quarterly and annual operating planning and previous experience managing a large scale P&L
Strong communication and presentation skills required
Strong change management skills required
Consumer products experience in a direct store delivery environment required
Demonstrated computer proficiency
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Strong change management skills required
Five years of people leadership required, preferably in a sales environment
Possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle
