Overview

The SDL Lead contributes to the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by leading the sales and distribution operations for the Sault Ste. Marie location. This leadership role encompasses Sales, Merchandising, Delivery, and cross-dock warehousing operations. Through flawless activation of PepsiCo initiatives, the SDL Lead coaches and develops a team of sales and operations associates and empowers them to win in the Marketplace. 


Responsibilities

  • Maximizing volume and revenue within a defined area in a direct store delivery go-to-market environment 
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key customers in the region 
  • Activating local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance 
  • Effectively leading Sales, Delivery and Merchandising operations through consistent coaching and capability building to deliver on service metrics and business targets 
  • Ensuring team accountability on delivery and merchandising standards in a Geo-Box environment  
  • Effectively managing the operations of the cross-dock facility 
  • Maintaining strong and positive labour relations with the Union 
  • Ensuring the team delivers volume and revenue results while managing costs 
  • Leading the safety agenda, including managing regulatory compliance (Driver Qualification Files, hours of service, Vehicle Condition Report, etc.) and consistent coaching on safe working practices 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Previous consumer packaged goods experience 
  • 2 years minimum fact-based direct selling experience 
  • Previous people leadership, preferably in a sales environment 
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills 
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency 
  • Solid oral presentation skills required 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, &/or weekends
