Retail Division Controller
The Retail Division of J.D. Irving Limited is comprised of a diverse group of companies including Kent Building Supplies, the largest home improvement retailer in Atlantic Canada, Atlas Structural Systems, a manufacturer of pre-engineered structural systems, Industrial Commercial Supplies and Chandler with seven very distinct divisions including sanitation, food services, apparel, communications, industrial and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial accounting and reporting for the retail division including the review of internal and external financial statements.
- Coaching and team development
- Oversight of forecasting and budgeting
- Providing financial insights and other key information to management and other stakeholders
- Responsible for internal controls and corporate governance
- Lead key growth and improvement initiatives
- Other Special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Successful Candidate will possess the following:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Effective communication skills, brings value to every interaction.
- A strategic thinker, with strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
