Innovation Intern

We think like entrepreneurs and you will behave like an intrapreneur to evaluate emerging technologies, concepts, integrate feedback, and develop prototypes/POCs/Pilots to inform new business opportunities. The projects that come our way will touch countless technologies and evolve rapidly – so agility and creative resourcefulness will be needed. We will work as a team and take on complex challenges, but there will be a lot of figuring things out and giving structure to ambiguity.

You're Great At...

• Design, execute and deliver customized market research on emerging technologies 

• Synthesize research into materials to share out through PowerPoint and other presentations

• Construct and maintain business documentation such as product positioning documents, market scans, business requirements and more

• Help with go-to-market and sales artifacts

• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; recommending actions

Who Are You?

• Working with limited direction, establishing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment

• Completing 3rd or 4th year studies in a undergraduate Business or Liberal Arts program

• Quickly grasping new ideas and solutions, analytical problem solving, and communicate effectively with colleagues (business and technical staff) and end users

• A team player, willing and able to work under pressure and to tight timelines to ensure deliverables is produced according to the requirements

• Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Communicating clearly, concisely and in a professional manner and strong presentation skills 

• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity

Must Have Skills:

• A strong interest in financial services or emerging technology, with a focus on product management 

• Demonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Demonstrated ability with project coordination experience

Nice To Have Skills:

• Experience working with Agile Teams or with Product Teams

• Experience working in the Financial Services or a FinTech

• Experience working in a professional environment
