Senior Product Analyst, Commerce

Product Analysts are subject matter experts for the Products and Services team at Interac. Senior Product Analysts will establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers. You will identify market opportunities, build product adoption and growth strategies, track product performance, and ensure client satisfaction.

• Assist with product management activities including creation of forecasts, budgets, strategies, opportunity assessments and business cases.

• Gathering appropriate competitive knowledge by exploring global and domestic market trends and be expert in industry landscape.

• Identifying market opportunities for Interac.

• Support with product development and delivery by working and consulting with internal & external stakeholders to ensure quality
  deliverables are produced in a timely manner.

Product Management:

• Assist in the development of forecasts, budgets, strategies, opportunity assessments and business cases for all Debit products.

• Analyze metrics to continually improve company products.

• Support in the enablement and growth of different product and programs; including bringing new products to market, marketing/communications activities and enablement.

• Gather appropriate competitive knowledge by exploring global and domestic market trends and becoming expert in industry landscape.

• Create and deliver product presentations to internal and external audiences.

• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties to help achieve departmental objectives.

• Convey customer requirements to management team.

• Assisting with product delivery by working and consulting with internal & external stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are produced in a timely manner.

Product Development:

• Work with internal and external stakeholders and end users to understand business problems and gather/validate requirements.

• Interface with engineers, product analysts, suppliers and clients to develop product requirements and specifications.

• Translate business problems/goals into business requirments, and assist in creating all necessary details which accompany user stories.

• Collaborate with technical communications for documentation. Prepare and coordinate product introductions and updates.

• Own technical product roadmap; interacts with Product Management, BSAs and the business to develop product specifications.

Project Leadership:

• Work with Product team leadership and other Business Units to deliver agreed features, capabilities, policy and regulations in full, on time, on budget, and with agreed benefits in accordance with corporate methodologies.

• Embrace and role model the Interac Product Development Flow and Lifecycle Management Processes, stage gates, and a disciplined approach to product development.

Who are you?

• 1-3 years relevant experience in business analysis or equivalent.

• You have experience and familiarity of payment products and line of business a plus.

• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

• Possess solid critical thinking, analytical and problem resolution skills to analyze trends and impacts, identify options and implications, and propose practical solutions.

• Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner.

• Self motivated, results oriented with a proven track record in the payments industry or a similarly regulated industry.

• Strong planning skills and experience in product analysis, financial analysis and knowledge of relevant technology.

• Comfortable with the fast-paced dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization.

• Possess the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal.

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

• Ability to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
