Data Engineering Technical Delivery Lead

As a Technical Delivery Lead, your primary responsibility is to lead design and development of standardization of code and processes for Database and Bigdata teams that perform services to support several critical internal applications.

• Provide direction to developers, overseeing the development, code standardization, unit testing and documentation for the developed solutions.

• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.

• Design, build and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery build pipelines.

• Responsible for verifying requirements, defining architecture, developing an implementation

• Plan, providing technical leadership for all data solutions.

• Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.

• Design and implement test and validation processes using automation frameworks.

• Produce Run Books and Implementation Plans as well as other documentation.

• Manage risks and resolve issues that affect the release scope, its schedule and quality.

• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes continually improve CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.

• Being the bridge between the development, change management, infrastructure, cloud and operation teams, facilitating coordination to ensure the successful delivery of application releases and updates for full operational use.

• Managing relationships with other teams working on interrelated processe

• Coordinating processes between different teams.

• Researching new software development and the best methods and techniques for business’s existing needs.

Who are you?

• You have 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer (Java or Python).

• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

• You have 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse/Data Lake Architecture and Developmen

• You have 5+ years of experience with Data Modeling & Architecture.

• You have hands-on experience with software development including actual coding best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• You have excellent programming skills and experience.

• You have experience AI/ML (Jupiter&/Python), API experience.

• You have experience with dimensional modeling, distributed ETL Pipelines and distributed computing.

• You have expertise in SQL, Spark, Python or Scala.

• You have knowledge of Relational Databases and Non-Relational Databases.

• You have knowledge of and experience with different automation tools.

• You have experience with Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure).

• You have familiarity with MVC concepts.

• You understand the data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP.

• You have experience using Git and Maven, create & maintain software development standards.

• An expert understanding of software development lifecycle.

• You have the ability to handle software infrastructure management & configuration management.

• You have a proven track of record of leading technical teams for different parts of SDLC.

• You have experience in coordinating cross-functional work teams up to task completion.

• You have excellent analytical skills · You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• You have experience with translation of business requirements into technical.

• You have experience with Agile methodology including breaking down projects into Epics/Stories.

• Knowledge of Talend, Cloudera, Oracle is an asset.
