Senior Security Architect

In this role, you will lead the Information Security Architecture team. You will be responsible for the overall InfoSec architecture and developing and maintain the related strategy. You will partner with the AVP of Enterprise Architecture to ensure information security requirements are embedded across all platforms, products, and initiatives.

You will act as people leader for the Information Security Architects to support their development, growth and performance and may also act as a delegate for the CISO on strategic and team matters as appropriate.

• Overall accountability for the enterprise-level technical security solution architecture, working across multiple technical and business functions

• Oversee the development of risk-driven enterprise information security architectures in support of business initiatives

• Evaluate proposed security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture and alignment to the overall strategy

• Support the execution of the Enterprise Architecture Framework;

• Develop threat-modelling and security requirements for multi-cloud and on-premise environments

• Review documented architectural patterns and all other key artifacts for implementing security controls for solutions hosted in the multi-cloud and on-premises platforms and those that support the cyber security program

• Ensure team has and maintains the depth and breadth of knowledge across all domains: identity and access management, network, infrastructure and application security, end-point detection and response, and cryptography

• Track developments and changes in the cyber threat landscape to ensure adequately countermeasures are present in security strategy plans and architectural patterns

• Develop and direct the execution of the information security strategy by leveraging substantial technical and business acumen

• Primary accountability for the financial and operating performance of the team

• Provide direct/holistic impact on achievement of operational, financial, and/or innovation objectives

• Ensures strong adoption of industry-based security architecture frameworks, e.g. SABSA, TOGAF

• Provide technical security requirements and influences new developments to ensure system and product security and alignment with business priorities

• Oversee the designs of new data protection schemes, including encryption scheme

Who are you?

• Undergraduate degree/diploma in computing disciplines, information systems, Information Security or relevant work experience

• 10 years of Information Security architecture experience

• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity

• 5+ years of demonstrated people leadership of high performing architectural teams

• 5+ years of experience in the Payments industry highly preferred

• Experience with:
  - International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27000/2/017/018 and NIST CSF
  - Privacy Principles (best practices)

• SANS training courses are desirable

• GIAC or CISSP certifications are desirable

• SABSA and/or TOGAF is an asset/nice to have

• Full-stack knowledge of IT layers:

  - Applications

  - Databases

  - Operating systems (Windows and Linux)

  - Containerization

  - Hypervisors

  - IP networks (WAN, LAN)

• Backup networks and media

• Strong people leadership and experience leading mature and high performing technical roles

• Focused on relationship-building and partnerships across the entire organization

• Recognized for their subject matter expertise in the Information Security landscape
