The Digital ID Business Unit of Interac is currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Mobile App Developer to be part of our growing product development team.
You’ll design and develop mobile applications (Android + iOS) that are secure, maintainable, and performant. You take pride in translating client business requirements through methodical systems design and leveraging the latest technology solutions available to solve problems. Developing and maintaining resilient service-based applications including analysis, design, development, and implementation.
Developing and maintaining mobile applications that conform to best practices on iOS and Android platforms.
Contributing to the analysis and design of application solutions and architecture, while bringing forth innovative ideas.
Implementing industry best practices as well as secure development patterns.
Understanding the Software Delivery Life Cycle to support the development of critical 24/7services.
Holding exceptional knowledge of best practices of software design and development standards.
Documenting technical designs, processes, and standard operating procedures to support the transfer of knowledge to other stakeholders.
Analyzing defects, and identifying deficiencies and bottlenecks, while providing solutions to these issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for Operational teams responsible for maintaining services in Production.
Promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement, transparency, open communications, and collaboration.
Leading, coaching and mentoring of team members in performance and completion of work.
Who are you?
You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.

Experience with iOS application development within Objective-C or Swift.
Experience with Android Studio development using CocoaPods file in xCode and Gradle.
Experience using Firebase.
Knowledge integrating RESTful web services.
Knowledge of authorization and authentication protocols, such as OAUTH, SAML and OpenID Connect.
Experience with automated testing for mobile applications.
Experience with Linux/Unix.
Experience with build automation/configuration management tools, such as Maven, Bamboo, and Gradle.
Understand version control workflows, code and branch management strategies, and source code management (SCM) tools, such as Git.
