Do you enjoy working on high-scale, complex, and high visibility projects and programs?  If yes, consider the following opportunity:

 

As part of the Rogers Communications Network Management and Operations department, the Reliability Integration Specialist will be accountable to lead the implementation and integration of 5G Core Cloud and Kubernetes-based solutions and maintaining associated nodes. The position requires detailed knowledge of wireless Core Network platforms and associated end-to-end service flows from 2G to 5G. Additionally, an understanding of the Cloud Domain is required to support the 5G DMC roadmap.

 

As part of the recruitment process, successful candidates will be required to complete criminal and credit background checks.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Work on scope, definition, and design solution offerings; develop and drive end-to-end technical solutions for 5G Core Networks
  • Be responsible to lead handovers from project into support function
  • Perform end to end investigation of faults/cause relating to system/network issues
  • Lead the investigation to solve the 4G/5G Core signalling & support issues, contribution to work around and resolution, collaboration with Vendors and Engineering to drive and identify the root cause of issues
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products/solutions and be able to consult on the responsible domain/products
  • Lead the creation of significant monitoring, logging, Alerting and responses to issues proactively
  • Participate in Risk Analysis and suggest possible mitigations
  • Work together with the emergency team with the Mission to quickly restore customer services in case of Network Outages
  • Be accountable for the creation of a Playbook for Regional redundancy, disaster recovery, and service Migrations
  • Recommends process improvement and Procedures to explore simplification and automation to improve Network Operational performance and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on scaling, performance tuning, cloud-native security, and Kubernetes hardening
  • Mentor other team members on Operations best practices and procedures.


What you bring:

 

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent
  • Passion for technology and a will to deliver outstanding customer experience
  • Expert on E2E Data/Voice service flows for IMS domain, including call flows, authentication, and provisioning.
  • Advanced knowledge of SIP and Diameter protocols.
  • Proven experience in driving engagements and transformation projects of Core domains (Packet, UDM, Voice Core) and Cloud Infrastructure
  • Understanding of Ericsson 5G Core elements such as CCDM, CCSM, and CCPC
  • Excellent Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure components including Virtualization, Containerization, NFVI, and Cloud Native solutions (CNIS)
  • Nice to have experience in Scripting (Python/Ansible)
  • Hands-on experience with Netscout, Splunk, Sev-one, CNOM, Wireshark, and Spirent Tools
  • Knowledge of Ericsson CNIS solution including SDI, and CCD (Kubernetes) layers
  • Thorough Knowledge of the OSI Model including IP Network protocols (e.g. MPLS, OSPF, BGP, GRE)
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills including Coaching and Mentoring Skills
