As one of Canada's largest marine engineering integrators, we are looking for talented individuals to bring their skills to Fleetway as we lead the way in Canadian naval defence contracts (In Service Support). Our work is project focused on government ship design and support, including warships, ferries, ice-breakers and commercial vessels. We are looking for qualified Reliability Engineer for our Dartmouth, NS office.
The Reliability Engineer performs the Reliability Engineering modeling and analyses designed to provide subcontractors, management and customers the Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) data deliverables to influence engineering designs for systems and/or equipment. The Reliability Engineer will also have responsibility for leading, directing, and coordinating AR&M activities.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Conduct reliability prediction, reliability block modeling, failure mode effects and criticality analysis, reliability centered maintenance (RCM), availability prediction and maintainability prediction to influence the design of marine platforms and ships, and develop life cycle support products.
- Prepare Logistic Support Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, Sparing Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, to create the logistics and maintenance documentation to support end items through their entire life cycle.
- Analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, vendor furnished information and other data to plan and develop LSA and AR&M activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.
- Perform special research or technical studies critical to AR&M, RCM, maintenance and logistic support functions.
Skill, Capabilities, and Experience:
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent Navy Certification
- Years of Experience Required:
- 5-10 years of experience in the application of AR&M analysis preferred
- Proficient with military and commercial ILS specifications
- Expertise with computer techniques and models for analysis, simulation of information systems and documentation
- Software: Windchill Reliability (or similar AR&M modeling), LSAR (OmegaPS, Eagle, SLICwave, or similar), LORA, LCC, Spares Modeling (OmegaPS Analyzer, OPUS10, EDCAS, VMETRIC, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite
- CET or P.Eng. professional designation considered an asset
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance
