The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise to PepsiCo Beverage and Food brands. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, substantiating claims and approving graphics that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo beverages and foods. In this role you will be responsible for multiple brands and ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, on final artwork and in specifications. The position will involve work on multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims, and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines.

Responsibilities
The position will require an excellent understanding and application of Canadian Food and Drug Regulations and guidance documents to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims. As a Regulatory Associate Scientist, you must be able to monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with Canadian regulations today and into the future. Technical savvy and expertise with product specification and life-cycle management systems is critical to success in this detail-oriented compliance role. This role provides an excellent opportunity to expand existing regulatory expertise while honing technical skills working in the breakfast and snack food categories.
Qualifications
· BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
· Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Strong collaborating and influencing skills
· Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently
· Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines
· Previous experience working in regulatory affairs or other R&D roles such specification management, quality assurance or product development
