Position Summary
Working on the University & Colleges team, the Recruitment Coordinator is a highly valued member of the team who plays an integral role in attracting and engaging the very best student talent within the industry. This role presents an opportunity for a student considering a career in recruitment to experience full-cycle recruitment within a leading IoT and Cyber security company.
Location: Waterloo, ON
Length of Term: 4 Months
You will:
Experience a full recruitment cycle, including job postings, networking, screening, onboarding and arranging interviews for prospective talent
Be a brand ambassador and market upcoming work opportunities to prospective hires, this may be through virtual events, info session, jobs fairs and more
Improve the student experience through idea generation, hosting social and profession development events, and building connections within our student cohort
Generate and prepare documents related to employee offer packages. This includes conducting background screening, reference checks, and gathering legal documentation for incoming talent
Assist with various ongoing team initiatives which may including social media, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or a project that relates to the individual’s studies/interests
Skills and Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in the field of Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or other applicable field
Solid knowledge of various tools and technologies including: MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Abode Acrobat
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
Outstanding customer service and communication - able handle issues in a positive and friendly manner when dealing with all levels of employees
Comfort with learning new technologies and business tools. Experience with an HRIS or database management system is an asset
Effective at balancing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks
