Quality Engineering (QE) Developer

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a QE Developer within Retail Investments Platform you will be working within Agile Delivery Lab, driving quality of delivered software product assigned to you through implementation of QE best practices, including Test Automation.

Your involvement will be in all phases of the software development process including requirements analysis, design analysis, test coverage planning followed by implementation of test automation and integration into DevOps pipelines, including automated analysis of the collected results to match Quality Criteria and automated submission of testing results.

What will you do?

  • Analyze requirements and design artifacts, lead test coverage development and testing execution activities in an agile squad
  • Design and implementation of comprehensive automated test coverage for assigned software products
  • Automate Test Data Management process using variety of technique (scripting, mocking, service virtualization, data pipelines)
  • Integrate Test Automation Solutions into DevOps Pipelines to achieve no-touch deploys
  • Document and maintain completed implementations/adoptions
  • Performing other technical tasks as directed by the manager

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree/diploma combined with 2+ years of hands on experience in test case design and Test Automation
  • Test Automation/Development background, including working knowledge of IDEs, APIs, Testing Frameworks.  
  • at different levels (component/service, integration, and end to end/user scenarios)
  • Technology  profile: LeanFT, SOAP UI, Selenium, Robot, Junit/ Nunit, GitHub, Scripting: Python, Groove, JS , JIRA, Confluence, SQL DBs Test Management Tools (qTest preferable), Windows, Linux
  • Data Mocking and Service Virtualization (Wiremock, Rational Integration Tester (RIT))

Nice-to-have

  • Jenkins orchestrated DevOps pipelines
  • Experience with non-functional testing: Performance, UI/UX, Accessibility (JMeter, Dynatrace)
  • Code Analysis technique and tools (SonarQube, NexusIQ, CheckMarx)
  • Mainframe experience (zOS), MQ, DB2
