The Student Navigation Project Support Assistant will be responsible for the promotion, evaluation, and continued development of the Student Journey Map website following its launch in August 2022. The Student Navigation Project Support Assistant will be supervised by staff in the Office of the Vice Provost Teaching & Learning.
Accountabilities: Evaluation of the Journey Map website following its launch in August 2022 to identify how it is being used, including strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement to inform frequent website updates in Fall 2022. Development of an evaluation framework for the Student Journey Map, in consultation with project partners at the Student Success Centre. Promotion of the Student Journey Map using any developed materials, and the creation of new materials in collaboration with the Student Success Centre. Promotion will include communications to students and continued engagement with Faculty Advisement Staff to ensure they remain engaged in the Journey Map project. Gathering testimonials (e.g., quotes, stories, short videos reels) from students engaged in ExCELINT programs to develop a testimonials resource on the Journey Map website. Exploration and promotion of available experiential and interdisciplinary learning opportunities at McMaster that are not included on the Journey Map to continue developing the Journey Map website. Participation in regular team meetings and project check-ins to ensure clear communication of project progress, and for the Student Project Support Assistant to reflect on their learning goals and their professional development experience within the partnership. Attendance at SAF events or meetings, where relevant, to share project work with McMaster staff and/or students. Development of a sustainability and maintenance plan for the Student Journey Map to ensure continuity beyond the scope of this work.
Upper-level McMaster University student (any Program or Faculty).
Experience: Experience with communications and promotions. Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research. Experience and/or knowledge of ExCELINT programs and courses at McMaster.
Experience using communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and various social media platforms.
