WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Regional Roads and Highways Transportation Group, located at Edmonton Winterburn office, for a broad range of transportation projects on highways and rural roads in Alberta and various other Provincial jurisdictions.

A day in the life:
- Provide Support for Contract Administration and Construction Supervision on highways and rural roads projects,
- Provide support and supervision of intermediate staff in managing the day-to-day project delivery of transportation projects,
- Liaise with all levels of Government, Industry, Stakeholders and First Nations
- Assist with design and tendering of highways and rural roads projects,
- Provide quality control and quality assurance oversight,
- Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, tenders, designs, forecasting, meeting minutes, project diaries, and Progressive Estimates
- Attend client meetings, review and document work progress, adherence to plans, procedures, budgets, and specifications.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Graduation from a University or Technical school in the field of Engineering or a related discipline, or a combination of related experience and education,
- Competent, capable and willing to work away from home/office for a significant period of the construction season,
- A minimum of 5 years' of Canadian experience managing highway transportation projects, or similar types of work,
- An understanding of the engineering consulting industry and the applicable roles of the consulting industry,
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have strong problem solving and negotiation skills,
- Working knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of construction surveying and materials testing,
- Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision,
- Demonstrable supervisory experience,
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of interests/authorities, including public levels of government, utility companies, and contractors
- Ability to interpret and apply contract drawings, standards, and specifications,
- Understand relevant legislative (environmental, health/safety, etc.) requirements,
- Have the ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work,
- Possess average or above average computer and relevant software skills,
- Ability to manage and deliver completed, quality work on time and within budget,
- Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD is an asset,
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
