As a Project Manager, you will build on your focus and knowledge of project management and client management and continue to develop relationships and business acumen in the Canadian wealth management industry. Under the direction of the Senior Director, you will participate in software deliveries and support our client management activities.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Participate in software delivery and implementation planning of wealth management solution

  • Assist in defining the project scope and deliverables using well-developed business analysis skills gained while completing transformational projects with wealth management software

  • Support in developing and maintaining project plans, project tasks and resource requirements

  • Assist in managing project budget, timelines, and resource allocations using in-depth knowledge of MS Project

  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports and other project documentation as required using in-depth knowledge of MS Project

  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

  • Hone your knowledge of the financial services industry regulatory and business environments

Education

  • Post-secondary Education, preferably with a focus on subjects such as Computer Science, Project Management, Software Development or Business

  • PMP Certification

Experience

  • 3-5 years in a project management role at a Financial Services Institution or in a Fintech company delivering and implementing wealth management solutions to Banking, IIROC and MFDA organizations.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience managing conversions ideally within financial services

  • Experience leading a project and leading multiple in parallel

Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, “service-first” attitude combined with superior interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision

  • Understanding and experience in the financial services industry, preferably in banking, mutual funds and/or securities is required
