The Project Lead will be responsible for project management of assigned projects supporting the Johnson & Johnson Guelph Plant, with a focus on New Product Introductions, Technical Transfers and Capital site project(s).  Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills combined with proficient application of established project management fundamentals are critical to success in this role. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the achievement of supply chain and manufacturing project objectives through management within, and external to the Guelph site, including Johnson and Johnson global partners.

Key responsibilities:

o Lead cross-functional projects through initiation, planning, implementation and closing
o Establish project scope, charter, timelines, and costs with input from project sponsor and team members 
o Schedule and lead regular project team meetings
o Maintain projects plans, communication plans, timelines and project status/progress reports through all project stages
o Manage communication of project status, milestones, timelines, and budget to project stakeholders/management and escalates issues as required
o Support evaluation of business development opportunities for Johnson & Johnson, Guelph plant, including preparation of proposals, bids and quotations
o Collaborate with Supply, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Corporate Engineering, Process Excellence and Operations personnel to ensure effective customer service during the execution of projects
o Manage input and maintenance of schedules/resources/finances in Enterprise Project Management software, as required
o Support Project Management Office (PMO-LPAC) to maintain project management processes, tools and templates
o Demonstrate adherence to Guelph PMO governance framework and standards of project management 


Qualifications
5-10 years’ experience within a pharmaceutical / manufacturing / operations environment
Project Management experience is required
Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Project) 
Process Excellence experience is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

Good understanding of cross-functional business processes within a pharmaceutical operations environment is required
Strong leadership skills
Understanding of Project Management methodology and tools
Strong collaboration competencies with demonstrated ability to cultivate strong business relationships across a matrixed organization
Strong negotiation & influencing skills, with ability to obtain team commitment
Results driven with bias for action and sense of urgency on priorities
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision

Certifications/Licenses:  

FPX Project Lead or PMI certification is an asset
