Reporting to the North American Human Resources Business Partner, the Project Human Resources Manager holds key responsibility for project HR oversight and performing day to day human resources functions. This leadership position will provide leadership and operational support to the project management, employees, and contractors of the project site.
Day to Day and Strategic Activities Include:
• Manage daily HR functions for the project, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with current legislation and aligned with corporate standards, policies, and procedures
• Effectively interface with project site managers and serve as a change agent to implement best practices
• Provide timely headcount projection and strategic workplace planning support
• Participate in the project recruitment process and onboarding of employees, contractors and consultants
• Serve as a link between project management and employees by handling inquiries, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related matters in conjunction with the appropriate home office HR Advisors and HR specialized matter groups
• Advise managers on organizational policy matters, and recommend required changes
• Act as main resource to respond to queries regarding Human Resource policies, procedures and applicable country regulations
• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organizational personnel Human Resource policies and practices
• Develop and maintain HR project policies, manuals, plans and supporting materials.
• Support the roll-out of various company initiatives as required and alter if necessary to suit the project
• Participate, manage, and deliver site diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs
• Develop people communication processes and works closely with project leaders to ensure effective execution
• Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical time deadlines
