You will use your expertise to:

  • Contribute to the integrated project work in support of safe, sustainable, compliant and cost-effective execution of the defined project, in such a way as to provide maximum value to Suncor
  • Execute the project scope, as authorized by the delegation of authority limits
  • Demonstrate and model purposeful and visible safety leadership
  • Bring ideas and support implementation of digital technology to improve on the efficiency and effectiveness of project execution
  • Foster an integrated team environment with all functional partners in project delivery
  • Coordinate development of scopes of work as the basis for contract award and management
  • Support the Project Manager or Director in Portfolio management

We’d like to review your application if you have…
Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science or equivalent;  will also consider an Engineering Technologist field of study
  • Registration or eligibility with APEGA as a Professional Engineer or equivalent
  • 5-9 years of experience in an Oil and Gas (or related) environment including operations or maintenance experience in an operating environment, or project execution experience
  • Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing

Preference for:

  • Oils sands or Refinery experience
  • Construction management, field engineering or field coordination experience
  • Interest in new technology and digital enhancements that can improve project delivery and execution

 Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
  • This position will require both office and field time in the facility
  • This position will require regular travel to Calgary or to other locations as needed based on engineering and vendor activity
