ABOUT THE ROLE: The Project Coordinator reports to the Senior Manager, Process Automation within the Supply Chain Systems function.
This role will provide project support for the Supply Chain Process Automation team, including developing and leading tools for resource tracking, administration and support of JIRA, Confluence and GitHub, ensuring project updates are provided to the Leadership and coordinating huddles and weekly update meetings. The role will also support requirements gathering for projects from Supply Chain department leads.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to apply their skills and experience through supporting various cross functional teams working on projects that directly support Loblaw’s strategy of operational and process excellence and data-driven decision making.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, lead and supervise project plans and action register including the consolidation of updates from work stream leads into the master project plan
- Prepare or assist in development of detailed runbooks and functional documents with internal and contract development teams and project leads
- Support Project leads in defining and grooming stories in Agile project methodology
- Review project plans on a weekly basis, prepare and submit weekly Milestones report and supervise project results are aligned with launch dates agreed
- Communicate to all stakeholders final plans and any updates to the plan
- Work with project team to identify and assess project risks and mitigation strategies, take a focused approach to leading and tracking project issues, risks, and decisions
- Provide support for project related meetings including; facilitation, preparation of presentations, meeting minutes and follow-up
- Coordinate and lead Lessons Learned session to mitigate the risks for future similar projects
- Administration and Maintenance of Jira, Confluence and Github sites
- Provide support for the department leads meetings including preparation of period review presentations, meeting minutes, and follow-up
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years previous work experience; retail and/or supply chain experience strongly preferred, IT an asset
- University degree
- Proven track record to optimally manage timelines, issues, risks and budgets to ensure delivery of project objectives.
- Previous experience in developing and completing detailed project plans using project management tools and methodologies, Agile and Jira experience preferred
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to those at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, exciting and constantly evolving work environment
- Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, MS Project).
- Preference for experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub
- A professional designation or training in Project Management would be an asset
