What is the opportunity?
The Program Director – Enterprise Risk & Talent Hubs will lead, direct and be accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of IT projects pertaining to risk, data, as well as the growth of our team in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
You will support the Risk technology lead with respect to financial control, strategy, architecture, program organization and management. You will be responsible for building relationships with the technology and business teams and ensuring effective reporting and communication with key project stakeholders.
What will you do?
Provide governance and oversight over Risk and data projects
Manage a team of 5-10 project managers
Consolidate and manage project status and financials for overall portfolio view.
Represent the organization on the steering committee and project leadership forums
Translate project visions into program scopes, designs and executables
Develop and manage integrated IT program plan in partnership with Business and Technology project teams.
Seek out industry trends and organizational knowledge to understand alternative approaches and solutions.
Align programs and projects to Risk IT’s target state by facilitating joint planning and design with the strategic architecture core team in the early stages of project formation.
Provide superior client service and strengthen relationships with business partners.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
10+ years of program management or related experience in a financial institution
Understanding of credit risk related concepts such as PD/LGD/EAD, borrower risk rating methodologies, segmentation, large exposure regulatory reporting requirements, and credit strategies
Technical acumen including familiarity with big data concepts such as Hadoop, Spark.
Strong quantitative skills
Demonstrated leadership ability
Experience leading large cross-enterprise programs/projects with both in-house builds and third party vendor tools
Expert knowledge of project plan development and management, scheduling methodology, waterfall and iterative methodologies, project metrics, analysis and reporting
Advanced knowledge of change management, business unit functions and relevant technology, standards, methodologies and audit requirements
Advanced communication, presentation and facilitation skills
