What is the opportunity?
Program Delivery Director in the Market and Counterparty Credit Risk group will lead a team of scrum masters who are responsible for 35 products grouped into 4 pillars with a delivery team size of 175. The individual is responsible for strategically planning and managing overall program delivery – including managing budgets, agile ceremonies, people management, senior stakeholder reporting and escalation management.
This role is accountable to ensure that Agile Program ceremonies such as scrum, sprint planning, retrospective, backlog grooming & processes such as managing software delivery via JIRA associated with the RBC scaled Agile Management Framework (AMF) are adhered to, implement the concept of measuring velocity & tracking velocity and holds the overall accountability for all the processes and people involved in the product deliveries within the Agile Program.
What will you do?
- Delivery Management: Effectively manages the overall products deliverables for the 4pillars
- Accountable for overall pillar financials, build fiscal plans and tracks value for effective decision-making
- Facilitate, schedule and monthly cost forecasting & recovery in enterprise reporting tool such as EPPM & MIS. Streamline processes and determine best practices/control points to reduce discrepancy in financials
- Actively participate in monthly operating & steering committee meetings with senior sponsor & IT management, escalating issues, driving critical decisions and following through on action items. Provide senior management with timely updates on strategic portfolio issues.
- Select and build high performing, motivated and a diverse team that leverages individual capabilities and harmonizes collective strengths
Must have:
- Undergraduate degree Preferably in Business or Technology coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the following
- Current and upcoming Regulatory/Compliance requirements
- Best practices for Risk System development
- Calculation of Market and Counterparty Credit Risk measurements
- Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well documented agile techniques (User Stories, Burndown techniques, Continuous testing, etc.);
- Expert knowledge of program and project plan development & management, scheduling methodology, agile, waterfall and iterative methodologies, program and project metrics, analysis, and status reporting.
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Worked in credit or market risk function including familiarity with:
- Value-at-Risk measurement and back-testing
- Stress testing and scenario analysis
- PFE calculations and measurement
