The Opportunity:

12-month work term: possibility to tailor duration based on candidate’s availability

How You Will Contribute:

As a member of the Product Verification team, you will participate in the system level testing of next generation products.  The position includes exposure to technologies including optical transport, packet OTN and ethernet switching.  You will also create and maintain automation scripts and tools utilized as part testing our product and solutions. 

Work responsibilities can include building telecommunication networks, writing software (scripts) to improve efficiency, system test or database management. You will also be involved in the analysis of test results and reporting of issues.

The Must Haves:

• Working towards completion of computer science or engineering degree
• Knowledge of Python programming language
• Ability to develop and program test automation scripts
• Ability to build networks out of hardware components
• Strong communication skills are important

Assets:

• Prior co-op experience in telecommunications
• Strong knowledge in Linux
