About This Opportunity
The Procurement Manager is responsible for strategic initiatives that support the Production Centres across Canada with category strategies, supply assurance and vendor optimization that supports overall company goals and objectives. The successful candidate possesses a wealth of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, supplier negotiations and stakeholder management. This position is located at our Brampton office (currently hybrid – 2 days per week – current designated days are Monday and Wednesday). This position will report directly into the Senior Manager, MFG Procurement.
Responsibilities
Industry Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of large OEM procurement contracts and the contract management within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working on Capital Projects, specifically in the Manufacturing and Industrial space.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Excel at developing supplier relationships and contracting across multiple regions to leverage the relationship when necessary to resolve issues
- Act as an escalation path for supplier-related issues impacting production and expedite resolution
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations:
- Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills; demonstrates a deep level of detail as it relates to contracts and procurement activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert for acquiring goods and services for Coke Canada’s manufacturing facilities which includes knowledge of vendor capabilities, economic cost drivers, supplier financials and market competition
- Skilled negotiator required to manage complex vendor issues, continuity of supply and implement vendor contracts for new projects
Category Management:
- Leadership of the spend strategies & supplier management for manufacturing services and equipment requirements
- Interface with all Project Team members and OEMs to ensure accurate and complete understanding of all project scope documents, standards and contracts
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in the Industrial Manufacturing categories, preferably for beverage companies, to support development of strategies and sourcing initiatives that deliver business value.
- University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with a focus in Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting costs, impacts, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions
- Demonstrate the ability to assemble and analyze large quantities of data and conduct in depth analysis of the data, such as should-cost models, benchmarking, etc.
- A strong team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment while being highly organized
- Sets and pursues direction without guidance and takes a wide view of their accountabilities with a can-do attitude to get things done
- Ability to work in an office and a plant manufacturing setting
