Currently, we have both temporary and permanent opportunities available.Working at our Montréal refinery has a lot of perks. You will also get to be a part of a team of highly motivated professionals, supporting our 137,000-barrel-per-day refinery that produces gasoline, distillates, asphalts, heavy fuel oil, petrochemicals, solvents and feedstock for lubricants.
Minimum Requirements:
Five years of relevant work experience in chemical processes and/or a DEC or AEC (diploma or attestation of college studies) in chemical or industrial process techniques, chemical engineering or the equivalent
A Class 4 (or higher) static-equipment mechanic's qualification card/certificate
A valid Class 5 driver’s licence
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Fluent in French – please submit your resume in FRENCH
Strong proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to make timely decisions
The ability to collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
Responsibilities:
Conduct quality-control rounds and sampling at regular intervals with a critical eye for the operational process and equipment in use by demonstrating operational discipline
Monitor the status of current maintenance work regularly and perform light maintenance
Participate in unit and equipment shutdowns
Respond to emergencies and/or upset conditions in the units following established procedures
Participate in firefighting training and become a member of the firefighting team on shifts
Start up and shut down the equipment
Operate the Control Board
Take samples
Take action to resolve potential problems as soon as they are identified
Conduct pipe alignments, maintenance and all other task required to ensure smooth operations
Location and other Key Details:
You will work at our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
Follows a 12-hour rotating shift schedule: 2-2-3 (Days and Nights)
We hire Process Operators multiple times a year and we call back candidates who have interviewed with us earlier in the year
You will need to be available to work overtime when required
This position is safety sensitive
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, make use of ladders, and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers, with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
