Working as a Process Operator at our St. Clair Ethanol Plant has a lot of perks. You get to use your technical skills and knowledge to safely and reliably maintain the operation of processes to optimize production in an environmentally responsible manner. You will also get to be part of a team of highly motivated professionals supporting the largest Ethanol production facility in the country, producing 400 million litres per year. Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference to those with a 3rd class power engineering ticket.
  • Two years of experience working in an industrial / manufacturing facility
  • Proven mechanical aptitude to perform the hands-on operation of plant equipment
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Attach your TSSA operating tickets with your application in order to be considered


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that plant policies are adhered to
  • Learn all operating units within the assigned area of the facility and progress in increasing levels of responsibility at the site
  • Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations and ensure strong communication and collaboration exists between shift changes
  • Report hazards and appropriately flag all plant-related issues beyond your scope to your leader
  • Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner
  • Have oversight to the work of maintenance and contract personnel as required
  • Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
  • Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning.

Location and other key details:

  • You will work out of our Ethanol facility in Ontario, located at 535 Rokeby Line,
  • Mooretown, ON
  • The shift schedule is a 12-hour rotation of days and nights (three on, three off)
  • This position is safety sensitive
